We have been here for over 30 years and providing great food, but even more, a great atmosphere where patrons are surrounded with great people.  We can stand up in history as being the Best in Ontario for that alone.  After the fun exercise of learning about the history of the "wings", we realized how proud were that our customers can choose not only GREAT wings at GREAT prices (45 cents each), but even better, they have the option to order wings as an appetizer and match them with our 10 ounce SIRLOIN STEAK carefully grilled as YOU like it, topped with onions and pepper and simmered hot (and wait until you see the price!) Okay, so, on January 11, 2011 at 11:11 a.m. we realized we are a part of the wing history, made perfect.  We, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, are proud to say - we go up to bat for you. Along with being proud to be Canadian, we love to serve all our visitors from everywhere around the world that reflects our True North hospitality and fresh served food, (not in a freezer brought home, it's just not the same).

Buffalo chicken wings, so the story goes, made their entry into the culinary world as a happy accident on Oct. 30, 1964, at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. That night, Teressa Bellissimo had some hungry diners to feed and not much in the kitchen beside chicken wings. She fried the wings, coated them with melted butter or margarine and a healthy dose of hot sauce, and Buffalo chicken wings were born.

Jul 29, 1977 - This being Friday night and the boys being Catholics, they had to wait until midnight to dive in. The dish became an immediate sensation locally, and the City of Buffalo declared July 29, 1977, “Chicken Wing Day” to honor the Bellissimos' contribution to ...Having received an oversupply of chicken wings, Teressa deep-fried some, dipped them in margarine, then concocted a hot sauce and put blue cheese dressing on the side. This being Friday night and the boys being Catholics, they had to wait until midnight to dive in. The dish became an immediate sensation locally, and the City of Buffalo declared July 29, 1977, “Chicken Wing Day” to honor the Bellissimos' contribution to Italian-American snack food.

1983 - Wings N Things first opened back in 1983, serving up some of the city's best buffalo-style chicken wings. Their claim to fame, no doubt though, was the " nuclear" wing, affectionately labeled on the menu as an explosive experience. The owner has said in the past  that the competition in the city has grown significantly. The phone message says they will soon leave another message including an address if you have gift certificates or business you need to do with the restaurant.

1993 - Established in 1993, Golden China Express is less than 1 mile from the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course. All of the dishes served at the restaurant are cooked in 100 percent soybean oil and contain no MSG. To start the menu, the restaurant prepares a variety of appetizers, like fiery hot gang pang chicken wings, boneless spare ribs and fried won tons. A chef's specialty, the coral shrimp contains crispy fried shrimp served with mixed Chinese vegetables in a brown sauce.

1999 - Wild Wing Restaurants Inc., originally known as Wild Wing, originated in Sunderland, Ontario on March 17, 1999 by Rick Smiciklas. Its main business focuses primarily on flavoured chicken wings made from fresh chicken, with no chemicals or preservatives.  Current operations Wild Wing Restaurants Inc. corporate office is currently located in Aurora, Ontario.

2003 - The Company was founded by Scott Lowery and Jim Disbrow. When the two friends couldn't find the Buffalo, NY-style chicken wings they were craving in Ohio they began making their own - and a national restaurant chain took flight. The Company began trading on NASDAQ in November 2003.

Feb 2006 - Buffalo Wild Wings is best-known for their buffalo-style chicken wings and 14 signature sauces. In late February 2006 Buffalo Wild Wings eliminated two sauces , Smokey Southwestern and Thai, while adding Honey BBQ, Parmesan Garlic, Asian Zing and Mango Habanero. The restaurants also feature a full menu of salads, appetizers, burgers, and specialty drinks. The restaurant also commonly features Big Buck Hunter.

That's what Sonya Thomas, 105 lbs, downed to break the national chicken wing eating championship record at the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, devouring the national championship record in Buffalo on Sunday, beating former champion Joey Chestnut. “I'm so happy!” said Sonya Thomas to the Associated Press. Thomas ate 4.86 pounds of chicken wings to win the ninth annual contest.

Sep 23, 2010 - Chowhound's Latest » San Francisco Bay Area September 23, 2010. First, not sure what your issue is with eating chicken wings in a Chinese restaurant. I'm pretty sure chickens have wings in China, and I'm equally sure that people eat them. The most amazingly delicious chicken wings I've ever had are in a Chinese restaurant.
