Bon Jovi Tribute Band – Keep The Faith @ Spot 1 Grill – Friday May 4th, 2012

Keep The Faith was founded by charismatic Jon Bon Jovi lookalike and soundalike Chris Newman. The band, led by Chris’ uncanny resemblance to Jon and Dave Bentley’s flawless interpretation of guitarist Richie Sambora, replicates the energy, musicianship, and visual aspects of a Bon Jovi concert.

With their gifted talents they perform a depth of material culling from every Bon Jovi era, including all of the hits. The music and stage show are crafted intricately and delivered with passion, designed to please the casual and most discriminating Bon Jovi fan alike.

BAND MEMBERS:

Chris Newman – lead vocal/guitar

Chris began his singing career in a church choir at age 10, and later won a music leadership award as most outstanding voice. As the drummer in a high school band, he realized his true passion for singing when he was forced to sing from behind the kit after his lead singer missed a gig due to illness. For years, Chris has been compared both vocally and visually to the Bon Jovi frontman, ultimately leading him to form Keep The Faith in light of his absolute dedication to and appreciation for Bon Jovi. Taking his craft very seriously, Chris creates the ultimate Jon Bon Jovi illusion on stage. His other vocal influences include Richie Sambora, Rik Emmett, Steve Perry, and Andrea Bocelli, just to name a few.

Ross Stewart – lead guitar/vocals
Ross is a self taught guitarist and started his journey at the age of twelve . He has played in various top/40 and tribute bands within the GTA. Ross is also a songwriter and has had the pleasure of being published with recording artists, Alias/Freddy Curci – (Capital EMI.), Erin Cody and the Drum. Ross enjoys the challenging role of “Richie Sambora” and his focus is to replicate the role visually and live performance.

John Jablonski – keyboards/vocals
John is the newest member of KTF. John is from Burlington, Ontario and started playing piano at the age of 10 and studied classical piano. He has performed in many original, top 40 and tribute bands in the greater Toronto area. He is pleased to play the role of David Bryan and add the melodic layered keyboard sounds that David provides in Bon Jovi.

Stephen Snitman – drums/vocal
Steph has a long performance history with some of Canada’s top tribute acts, including Just Alice (Alice Cooper tribute), Steel Lilly (80′s-90′s tribute), Mystic Cult (tribute to The Cult), Rebel Yell (Billy Idol tribute), Hot for Teacher (Van Halen tribute), and Destroyer (Canada’s top Kiss tribute). He is pleased to bring forth the spectacle of Tico Torres, adding the pounding backbeat to the Bon Jovi experience that is KEEP THE FAITH.

Doug Adams – bass guitar
Originally a classically-trained pianist, young Doug picked up the blues bug and a Danelectro bass. Since then he has spent virtually a lifetime playing with various bands on both sides of the border. Doug’s balance of precision and delicate touch is the perfect match for playing Hugh McDonald’s tasteful and distinctive bass lines. Doug has been with Keep The Faith since its inception.

Keep The Faith is based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is available for hire throughout North America. This tribute show can lend itself to a variety of events and venues, such as festivals, restaurants, theatres, nightclubs, casinos, fundraisers, corporate functions, weddings, and private parties.

Various show formats are available – anything from a single set to an entire evening of music. Specially themed shows are also offered, highlighting any preferred era of Bon Jovi, from their long-haired hard rock youth of the 1980s, country-esque material, up to the recent Circle Tour. On the lighter side, Keep The Faith can also provide acoustic pre-show, interval, and/or post-show music at your event for a full night of entertainment.

Band Bio’s

Serge Tremblay -Lead vocals, harmonica & guitar

Serge has many years of experience performing and recording with a variety of bands. His earlier years were spent as lead guitarist for ‘Fall from Grace’ where he toured with the band for a number of years. Most recently, he has been performing with ‘Sonny Boy Mick’ promoting his new CD.As well, Serge performs with a number of local bands which demonstrates his ability to play a wide array of music at a very high level.

Henry Wilk – Bass & back-up vocals

Henry’s bass playing roots are back in the mid 70’s with a band called ‘Southbound’ that performed southern rock across Ontario for a number of years.After taking time out to raise a family, his passion for playing has drawn him back to the music scene.He has been performing in the GTA and the Hamilton Region over the last 10 years.Currently he is also performing in the southern Ontario region with a rock trio called ‘Roxy’.

Herve Basset – Piano, Keyboards

Herve is well known on the Toronto music scene. He has played and recorded with Tony Springer (Wild T), Michael White, Danny Marks, Kenny McLean (Platinum Blonde), Dale Harrison (Headstones, Alannah Miles), Stan Miczek (Kim Mitchell, Sass Jordan), Kim Wetmore, Eric Paul (Big Sugar) and Tavis Stanley (Thornley). He’s a regular on the Toronto jam scene and had the privilege to have played with such great artists as Liberty Silver, Jeff Martin (Tea Party), Bill Wyman (Stones) and the late Jeff Healey. He served as the house keyboard player at Healey’s Tuesday Night Jam for 3 years.

Paolo Erme -Drums & Percussion

Paolo’s professional musical career started much like Serge’s with touring and recording for ‘Fall From Grace’. After the disbanding of ‘Fall From Grace’, Paolo moved onto to a number of projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Constantly working on improving his playing abilities, Paolo is a perfectionist that renders the Springsteen beat impeccably.

Jim Leach -back-up vocals, guitar

Wee Jimmy has been playing professionally for 20+ years. He has toured Canada and the United States with several tribute bands, including tributes to Alice Cooper, Van Halen, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Around the Golden Horseshoe Jimmy jams with his buddies in the classic rock cover bands Soulmate and Hammerheadz. Jim’s witty banter and snappy fashion sense only add to his charm.

Nilton Santos -Saxophone, back-up vocals, percussion

Nilton started playing saxophone at age 15 with local community marching bands in his hometown of Cambridge, Ontario. At the age of 20 he moved to Hamilton to attend Mohawk College’s applied music program. After graduating he moved to Toronto for a year where he attended York University’s Music Program. Throughout this time he was gigging and teaching in the Hamilton area. In 2006 he moved back to his hometown and has since been gigging throughout Southern Ontario with various rock and funk bands. He is enjoying the challenge of portraying the “Big Man” in the Bruce Springsteen experience “Glory Days”.
