Jul 29, 1977 - This being Friday night and the boys being Catholics, they had to wait until midnight to dive in. The dish became an immediate sensation locally, and the City of Buffalo declared July 29, 1977, “Chicken Wing Day” to honor the Bellissimos' contribution to ...Having received an oversupply of chicken wings, Teressa deep-fried some, dipped them in margarine, then concocted a hot sauce and put blue cheese dressing on the side. This being Friday night and the boys being Catholics, they had to wait until midnight to dive in. The dish became an immediate sensation locally, and the City of Buffalo declared July 29, 1977, “Chicken Wing Day” to honor the Bellissimos' contribution to Italian-American snack food.

1983 - Wings N Things first opened back in 1983, serving up some of the city's best buffalo-style chicken wings. Their claim to fame, no doubt though, was the " nuclear" wing, affectionately labeled on the menu as an explosive experience. The owner has said in the past that the competition in the city has grown significantly. The phone message says they will soon leave another message including an address if you have gift certificates or business you need to do with the restaurant.

2003 - The Company was founded by Scott Lowery and Jim Disbrow. When the two friends couldn't find the Buffalo, NY-style chicken wings they were craving in Ohio they began making their own - and a national restaurant chain took flight. The Company began trading on NASDAQ in November 2003.

Feb 2006 - Buffalo Wild Wings is best-known for their buffalo-style chicken wings and 14 signature sauces. In late February 2006 Buffalo Wild Wings eliminated two sauces , Smokey Southwestern and Thai, while adding Honey BBQ, Parmesan Garlic, Asian Zing and Mango Habanero. The restaurants also feature a full menu of salads, appetizers, burgers, and specialty drinks. The restaurant also commonly features Big Buck Hunter.

I'm pretty sure chickens have wings in China, and I'm equally sure that people eat them. The most amazingly delicious chicken wings I've ever had are in a Chinese restaurant.
